About My Clients
I work with adults and adolescents (ages 12 and up) struggling with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, trauma, and relational distress. I also work with members of the LGBTQIA+ population and poly/ENM/kinky folks around gender identity and expression, boundary-setting, and self-acceptance. I am available for both individual and couples counseling, in-person or via telehealth anywhere in the state of Indiana.
My Background and Approach
I am currently a master's student in Mental Health Counseling at IU Southeast. As a queer, neurodivergent woman myself, I have both lived and clinical experience working with these populations. I completed my clinical practicum working with LGBTQIA+ adults in a private practice setting. I have received training in trauma-informed care and utilize this approach with all clients, as I know that trauma often plays a central role in why folks are coming to therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing is both individual and relational, and that we heal best in community with others. I recognize that people are affected not just by their own individual brain chemistry but also by the larger systems and cultural factors that influence their lives. I have found therapy to be a wonderful help in my own personal healing journey, and I decided to become a therapist so that I could help others walk their own paths toward healing. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, gaming, and traveling with my partner and kids.
