About My Clients
*Currently accepting clients* I have experience addressing a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma, ADHD, grief and loss, life transitions, intimacy and relationship concerns including polyamory, communication and assertiveness, and stress. If you find yourself struggling with any of these issues and are seeking support and a place to learn how to better address them, I would love to be there to offer guidance, tools, and compassionate listening.
My Background and Approach
I see therapy as a collaborative approach where you are the expert on your life, needs, and goals and it is my job to offer objective feedback and the right tools to help you make the improvements you seek. We start with identifying your concerns and developing a plan together of how to address them utilizing a variety of techniques. I believe in a holistic approach, so those techniques range from research-based therapeutic interventions, to building everyday skills like problem solving and communication, to body based approaches to aid with physical wellness. I believe that everyone has the ability and strength to make the changes they want to improve their lives, they just may need some guidance, a safe space, and the right tools. I believe that is what counseling and the therapeutic relationship can provide. My goal is to provide that safe, non-judgmental place where you can seek support and learn more about yourself and how to address your concerns and needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about helping others whether that is through my work as a counselor or my contributions and time volunteered through various organizations such as SafeHouse Center, Food Gatherers, and The Red Cross. I am especially passionate about helping those who have suffered trauma and marginalization in their life, and through multiple trainings I have worked to become skilled in providing culturally competent and trauma based interventions for those with the greatest needs.
