My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with teens and adults experiencing self-harm, intergenerational trauma, and stress-related challenges. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Integrative Therapy to create personalized care tailored to each client’s unique needs. I focus on equipping clients with practical skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and build resilience. With extensive experience in adolescent mental health, I provide a supportive environment where teens can explore their identities, navigate peer and family pressures, and find their voice. For adults, I help uncover the impacts of intergenerational trauma, offering strategies to break unhealthy cycles and cultivate healthier dynamics. My ultimate goal is to empower clients with the tools and insights they need to create meaningful, sustainable change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a second-generation Chinese immigrant, I’m deeply committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all clients. I believe in the power of mental health care to transform lives and in the importance of fostering resilience through self-compassion and skill-building. I’m particularly passionate about working with marginalized communities and breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health, especially for teens and young adults. Outside of therapy, I’m involved in initiatives that promote emotional well-being in schools and local communities. I advocate for open conversations around mental health to empower individuals to seek help without fear or judgment.
