About My Clients
I work with clients who are navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues. Many of my clients are exploring their identities, including sexuality, gender, and relationship style, and I provide a positive environment for exploration and creativity. I also offer compassionate support for those navigating problematic or unwanted sexual behaviors, as well as associated shame and guilt.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of New York, and hold an MSW from Columbia University. By working with you on your day to day challenges, I meet you where you are, and trust that you are the greatest expert of your own experience. I also work to include exploration of how systems of oppression intersect with your mental health, and to support your exploration of the factors that undermine well being. I am trained in internal family systems (IFS) therapy and am enthusiastic about utilizing this modality to support healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are constantly discovering who we are over the course of our lives. I seek to provide a safe, warm, and supportive environment for exploration of grey areas and uncertainty. I have particular experience working with LGBTQIA+ people, trans people, and people exploring nontraditional relationship structures.
