About My Clients
You've been trying to live up to social, cultural, & others’ expectations. Caught up in the “shoulds,” you have overextended yourself to the point of burnout. You've found it difficult to set boundaries & navigate conflict in your relationships. Maybe you want to explore topics such as gender or sexual identity, but shame gets in the way because these topics have been considered "taboo." This can be so draining & express itself as anxiety, depression, & avoidance.
My Background and Approach
In my personal and professional life, I am committed to embodying compassion, self-acceptance, and an expansive mindset. I prioritize creating a safe and welcoming space for clients, particularly children of immigrants who may feel othered within their cultures. I center sex-positivity and gender-inclusivity as main pillars within my practice. While these subjects may be considered taboo to some, they are integral parts of the self, and I believe should be embraced and respected. My practice at its core is very client centered. I take an integrative/eclectic approach drawing from modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and parts work. I believe that there are many paths to healing and make creating a safe environment to explore such paths a priority. No one client is the same, it is my goal to create a therapeutic experience that is tailored to your needs and encompasses all parts of self.
