About My Clients
If you often feel exhausted, overwhelmed, lonely, or stuck, I may be able to help. I tend to work with recovering perfectionists/people-pleasers who suffer from painful anxiety, depression, and low self-worth. So, if you can sense that there is more for you and are ready to reclaim your power, vitality, and authentic expression, please reach out. My goal is to help you understand yourself profoundly, have genuine connections with others, and better cope with the inevitable transitions of life.
My Background and Approach
I believe that you are not broken, but have just lost sight of your wholeness. I am a client-centered, relational therapist. Within our relationship built on compassion, respect, and curiosity, I’ll work closely with you to identify what’s holding you back in your life and help you move forward. Together, we’ll find meaningful solutions that make life, work, and relationships more rewarding. I have a warm, active, and genuine style. Before I was a therapist, I worked for many years as a yoga and meditation instructor, bodyworker, and Life Coach. My specialties include anxiety, depression, and relationship/communication issues, and have a strong interest in working with women on self-esteem and authentic self-expression. I am honored to work with people from many different identities and communities and consider myself a strong LGBTQ ally. My ultimate goal is to inspire, guide, and empower you to live a more joyful life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a just fellow human - imperfect and continuously learning - who is walking beside you on this crazy journey called life. I, too, have experienced grief, loss, anxiety, and debilitating anger. From personal experience, I truly believe that everyone has room to grow and evolve with awareness and self-compassion. This growth can't happen in a vacuum, though. There is incredible power in the sacred space held by a therapist for a client. It is always important to remember, though, that therapy is not a magic pill or quick fix; it is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from both the client and therapist.
