I grew up as a Third Culture Kid and am a second generation Asian American. I started living in the US full-time when I was 18 years old, and I am passionate about helping folx find attunement with their cultural identities and communities.

My belief is that we often don't need someone to tell us how to think or feel about ourselves; rather, we need someone to stand by our side while we go through the heaviness that accompanies sense-of-self beliefs. I lean into the discomfort and messiness of internal experience and am with you to sort through it together.

I believe that relationships give life meaning - and when our relationships aren't meeting our needs, we are deeply impacted. I see my role as someone to help facilitate authenticity, safety, and deepness in your connection to others. Whether it is an intimate partner, a family member, or a friend, I'm trained to help you establish connection in the way you both need and desire.

I became a therapist because I believe in the power of relationships – our relationships determine how we move through the world. This belief leads me to take a highly relational and systemic lens. Therapy with me will often involve exploring the interactions we have with others in our lives and building up connection with security, validation, and authenticity.

I passionately bring awareness to social structures and dominant narratives within our work. This includes acknowledging the client-therapist power imbalance and actively working to place you, the client, as the expert of your lived experience. This can manifest as rich description around cultural dimensions, active discussion o internal biases, or my own self-disclosure as appropriate. I take an anti-oppression, anti-racism, feminist lens to all sessions.
