About My Clients
Are you a first generation Latina/o? Trying to navigate the first of everything including breaking generational traumas? Setting boundaries, being gentle and compassionate towards yourself, validating your emotions, can be terrifying to do all on your own. When we work together, I'll tailor my approach to your unique needs to help you address and navigate life's complexities.
My Background and Approach
I am a bilingual Licensed Social Worker holding a Master's degree. My experience includes working with diverse populations, such as adolescents, college students, women, couples, and first-time parents. I have assisted individuals in tackling challenges related to anxiety, depression, first-generation experiences, immigration concerns, trauma, parenting, and relationship issues. As a bilingual clinician, I can facilitate care to individuals in both Spanish and English. Utilizing approaches like Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she helps clients make sense of their past struggles and move to healing and growth. Jessica is able to integrate Christian-based counseling when requested.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Upholding this essential principle not only reflects my faith but also nurtures a compassionate and inclusive community.
