About My Clients
Clients often come to me wanting support in managing the overwhelm in their lives. We live in such a fast-paced, over-stimulating and often judgmental world, and I provide a safe haven for clients to explore who they truly are. This enables them to make day to day choices that help them show up as themselves in their lives, and take control of their futures. I especially work well with clients with anxiety disorders, borderline personality and depression.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in DBT therapy, and while not every client participates in our full DBT program, I still utilize a lot of DBT concepts in most sessions. DBT helps with problems with emotion regulation and maladaptive coping. DBT is Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which focuses on a lot of acceptance strategies (validation, meeting the client where they are at) as well as a lot of change strategies (practicing new coping skills, trying new ways of interacting with others). Our full DBT program involves weekly individual DBT sessions as well as weekly DBT skills group sessions, as well as access to 24/7 phone coaching. I also utilize a lot of person-centered approaches, as well as narrative therapy. This combination, along with the acceptance and change from DBT, can really help individuals discover their authentic self and start living the life they were meant to live.
