About My Clients

Isupport people in generating the bodily autonomy and empowerment necessary to navigate significant life transitions with choice. I specialize in work with LGBTQI and chronically ill/disabled communities. I also often work with artists, activists and first responders. I am trained in trauma-informed embodiment practices, EMDR, Somatic Abolitionism, as well as martial arts. Whoever and however you are, and whatever you are holding, is welcome.

My Background and Approach

I chose to train in social work and somatic therapy to support people in generating the bodily autonomy and empowerment necessary to navigate significant life transitions with choice. Through generative somatics and The Strozzi Institute, I studied trauma-informed embodiment practices. I am also trained in EMDR through the Parnell Institute, the Flash technique with Phillip Manfield, and Somatic Abolitionism with Resmaa Menakem. I received my MSW focused on community-centered integrative practice from the University of Washington, and hold a BA in English from Earlham College. I also trained as a full-spectrum birth doula to ground my work in medical fluency, consent, and bodily autonomy. I am honored to apply this depth of training to support anyone wanting to rebuild safety and connection in their bodies and their lives.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My foundational belief is that you know yourself best. What you want for yourself and your life is the most important tool for determining how we work together. My role is to be your strongest ally, supporting you to cultivate a deep, unshakeable relationship with your authentic inner voice. While I pull on my own philosophies and values to support your journey, what is true and meaningful for you guides our sessions. We all deserve dignity, safety, community, and connection. However you are, and whatever you are holding and feeling, is welcome. Through an embodied, holistic, and liberatory approach, it is my hope that our work together will generate a greater sense of safety, health, and resilience within your body, your relationships, and your work. We are in this together—and as a therapist and social worker, I strive to support us in creating new ways of relating that center equity, justice, and respect for all life.
