About My Clients
Ralph's clients are those who are struggling with OCD, chronic pain, medical conditions, aging, and career-related concerns. Ralph's background is in employee assistance support and he works with clients who lives are becoming more difficult due to issues that they can no longer manage on their own. Ralph's client demographic is college-aged clients to retirees. Ralph has a friendly and open way of engaging with his clients that help them to feel supported and hopeful through the process.
My Background and Approach
Ralph worked as an Employee Assistance Professional for 15 years helping clients who were struggling with work-related concerns including performance, imposter syndrome, communication and work/life boundaries. Ralph has then been working in the private sector assisting clients who a range of conditions including OCD, biploar disorders, and substance use/abuse. Ralph was able to continue working with clients once telehealth became an option. As a professional who lives with Muscular Dystrophy this has allowed Ralph to continue to bring his years of experience to clients he would not otherwise be able to see. Ralph has extended his speciality to include helping clients who, like him, have to live with chronic pain, medical conditions, mobility difficulties, aging and life changes as well as supporting their loved ones and families. Additionally, Ralph's background working with employees includes assisting students and young adults hoping to find support making difficult changes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Ralph uses a solution-focused approach to help clients stabilize and feel process and success within the first few sessions, meaning more time to enjoy ones life instead of struggling through it. Ralph values humor, compassion, and the human connection. Ralph's approach to therapy is conversational and collaborative. Ralph leans away from the old school approach of therapy to provide a more relatable and attainable support structure. Ralph's believes that clients should not have to be in therapy for years to reach their goals.
