Often, life is as much about how we tell our stories as it is the content of these narratives. Attachment is a key part of my work with romantic/sexual partners and families, being newly seen and heard in more complete ways.

While monogamy is many people's relationship archetype, it isn't the best solution for others. Whether foundational to their sense of self, or an accommodation to the exingencies of life's evolutions and waypoints, various forms of consensual non-monogamy and polyamory may be more personally responsive and relevant to an individual and/or their partner(s).

Discernment counseling is a brief (4-6) session process of evaluating whether the parties are leaning into, or out of, a relationship. This approach is about creating a conditional alignment that opens up possibilities of more collaborative engagement and understanding between partners.

Every partnered relationship faces challenges, shifts, struggles and searches for meaning and connection. As much as it is human nature to reach out, it is also a reality of humanness to falter. At its core, couples counseling is about resiliency and the opening up of alternate possibilities which resonate for the parties and address their individual and relational needs.
