I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to face struggles with body image, eating patterns, and the complicated feelings that accompany them. These challenges—such as worrying about food, feeling uncomfortable in your own skin, or facing pressure from expectations—can feel isolating, but you are not alone. Society's narrow ideals can easily lead us to feel inadequate. Together, we will explore your relationship with yourself, uncover self-compassion, and build resilience.
My Background and Approach
In therapy, I strive to create a safe place where you can explore and grow. I respect that you are the expert in your life, and I am a supportive guide. I bring my authentic self to help you feel comfortable and enjoy the process. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, systemic, and integrative lens that is culturally attuned. You will be seen, heard, respected, supported, and empowered in the room. This space allows you to delve deep into your thoughts and emotions while using your strengths to create meaningful change. We offer both in-person and virtual services and will work together to help you grow, heal, and find peace. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School and pursuing my PsyD. I am actively engaged in research, professional development, and community outreach as a doctoral fellow in the Minority Fellowship Program. I value creating a collaborative experience for my clients that supports their growth and empowerment.
