About My Clients

My clients often show up strong for others—professionals, high-achievers, and caregivers quietly carrying the weight of it all. Many navigate the tension between cultural expectations and personal truth, or feel stuck at the edge of a life transition. Together, we will make space for what’s been unsaid, uncover what still matters, and move toward a life that feels more like theirs—grounded, intentional, and fully lived.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed psychologist with a background in health psychology, trauma, and identity-focused care. I work with professionals, high-achievers, Veterans, and individuals navigating grief, chronic illness, or major life transitions. My style is collaborative, warm, and grounded in evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT, with a touch of humor and humanity. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing—it’s about understanding what’s in the way and making space for meaningful change. Many of my clients are used to showing up strong for others while carrying quiet weight. I meet you with respect for your lived experience, including the cultural and generational forces that shape how you cope, connect, and heal. Our work can be brief and focused or deeper and more exploratory, depending on what is needed. I also support professionals navigating leadership, burnout, and purpose, where therapy and growth intersect.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing begins by making space—for our full selves, our histories, and the parts shaped by culture, family, relationships, and survival. As an Asian American psychologist, I hold deep respect for the unspoken values many of us carry: duty, sacrifice, achievement, emotional restraint, and honoring our relationships. These can sustain us, but they can also keep us stuck. These themes often emerge in my work with clients exploring identity, intergenerational dynamics, and burnout. I also believe in the grounding power of being outside. Nature reminds me that growth can’t be rushed—it unfolds when we stay rooted, pay attention, and tend to what matters. Whether through metaphor, mindfulness, or movement, I often draw on nature as a resource in therapy. It’s one of the ways I stay connected—to myself, my work, and the wider world.
